Community Data 2.0 Workshops
Over the course of 2011 and 2012, a series of six workshops took place throughout Sarasota County. These workshops were a way to increase awareness of local data resources, to gather the perspectives of people who live and work throughout Sarasota County with regard to community indicators, and to increase the involvement of an increasing diversity of local citizens in the growing Community Data Collaborative. Materials and data generated at each of these workshops can be accessed by clicking on the corresponding link below:

For the full list of ideas generated by workshop participants regarding Community Indicators, please click here. This list includes participant responses to the following QUESTIONS:
1. As someone who lives and/or works in this community, which patterns most interest, surprise, concern, inspire or otherwise catch your eye in these data? (This refers to patterns in the community indicators that already have been collected in Sarasota County.)
2. What are the qualities of life that matter most to children, adults, and families who live here?
3. What would these qualities look like if we could see them?
4. How could we measure these qualities of life?
Questions 2, 3 and 4 draw from the Results-Based Accountability (RBA) framework. For more information on this framework, click here.
